Drawing to understand things better
“A few years ago I began to investigate drawing in greater depth, starting with my own obsessions, without the need to channel the activity into some kind of concrete results. I began with drawing the wind, trying to understand certain aspects of it, like uncertainty, instability, to see how sudden variations or unpredictable asymmetries could be translated into physical objects.
Then I continued with other borderline themes: drawing islands and observing them like little architectures of stone, or drawing clouds and listening to their silence. I keep on drawing, incessantly but calmly, to better understand the things around me.”
